Privacy Policy
Last updated: July 2026
Kaalo is built on a simple principle: your calendar is your business. This policy explains, in plain language, how the Kaalo Android app handles data.
Data we collect
Kaalo does not collect, transmit or store any personal data on our servers. There is no account, no sign-in and no analytics SDK. Everything you create in the app — reminders, birthdays, anniversaries and settings — is stored only on your device.
Offline operation
Kaalo is designed to work fully offline. Festival, holiday and panchang data ships inside the app. The app does not require an internet connection to function.
Permissions
Kaalo requests the notification permission so it can remind you about festivals, vrats and your personal reminders. It does not request access to contacts, location, camera, microphone or storage beyond its own app data.
Data sharing
Because we do not collect data, we have nothing to share or sell. No data is shared with third parties, advertisers or analytics providers.
Data deletion
Uninstalling the app removes all data it stored on your device. You can also clear the app's data at any time from your phone's settings.
Children
Kaalo does not knowingly collect any information from anyone, including children, because it collects no information at all.
Changes to this policy
If the app's data practices ever change — for example, if an optional backup feature is added — this policy will be updated before that version is released, and the change will be noted in the app's update notes.
